It has been almost one year since we first launched Trapshooting Online.com and it has come a long way in those nearly 12 months.
Our columns have grown to include Perazzi Gun Repair and Ask the All Americans. The community is approaching 100 members and our Facebook page is on the verge of reaching 800 fans. We have listened to site members and friends who want more – so we’re making BIG changes!
Beginning in the late December to early January time period, you’ll begin to see some major improvements. Check them out below and for more detail, take a look at part two of these blog posts!
Redesigned Home Page
Simplicity and organization of information are the keys to a great website. We spent countless days trying to incorporate these fundamentals into Trapshooting Online.
Notice the large menu at the top, access to our Twitter, Facebook and RSS links, as well as a quick search box. These are included on every page, as well as the advertising areas in the top, right side bar, and bottom space. No pop-ups or “in your face” advertising. Just subtle reminders of what some of the best trapshooting vendors have to offer!
Sometimes you might be in a hurry and just want to see the headlines. The scrolling headline banner will provide the latest and most important news that people are talking about on Trapshooting Online.
Now the latest columns and trapshooting news articles are located front and center on the home page. User submitted news, Trapshooting Online Network sites, and other articles will all be easy to view and read.
Have you ever wanted to be recognized for your trapshooting accomplishments? Does your local club have an AIM or SCTP youth team that is looking for support? Nominate a deserving team or individual and we’ll feature them in our new Spotlight section!
Another BIG change is our Shoot Calendar. Submit your club’s upcoming shoot information and programs, past results, and more. We’ll include it in a searchable, sortable, calendar that will let you know where the latest shoots are located.
Finally, Trapshooting Online is offering web design services to gun clubs and state associations throughout the U.S. and Canada. We are able to take advantage of some tremendous technology that helps us keep the costs down and deliver a professionally designed site….starting at $399!
