As our first featured member, we have a very interesting, and pioneering individual.
Have you ever wondered what it must have been like to reload shells before we had plastic wads? Believe it or not, they used to have paper wads without shotcups. One day in 1958, that all changed when Ronald Comerford invented the one piece, plastic wad. His quest to build a better mouse trap has improved trapshooting scores like few others in the history of the sport.
We were fortunate that Ronald’s daughter Karin chose to nominate him for our Featured Member’s spotlight. We have obtained a copy of a Shotgun Sports article from 2009 which detailed Ronald’s path to fame and his efforts to change the game forever. Karin – thanks for your nomination!
