The Amateur Trapshooting Association has announced their 2012 All-American teams based on targets shot during the 2011 target year. Congratulations to everyone for their achievements. Link is here: http://www.shootata.com/pdfs/2012_AA_Teams.pdf
Outside of a Hall of Fame induction, this is the highest award that a trapshooter can earn. Selection to the AA team is reflective of a year’s worth of hard work, sacrifice, and performance at the highest level.
As we browse the list of shooters and their respective point totals, I think it is worth noting the wide margin by which Harlan Campbell Jr. earned the Men’s Captain honor. His 3,003 points were nearly 200 more than his closest competitor. This certainly isn’t pointed out to diminish Sean Hawley’s hard work (2nd on the list), but merely to highlight the outstanding year that Harlan had. Rarely is there such a wide gap between the captain and second place. Congratulations Harlan on such a dominant and outstanding year!
If you know someone on this list, please be sure to congratulate them on this monumental achievement in their trapshooting career.
